Texas Appellate Lawyer for Criminal Cases
Cofer Luster Criminal Defense Lawyers is proud to announce Cody L. Cofer is now Board Certified in Criminal Appeals by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS).
A Tiny Fraction of Attorneys Have This Qualification
About 7% of Texas lawyers are Board Certified in a specialty area. Less than 1% are certified in Criminal Appellate Law. Cody is double board certified (Criminal and Criminal Appeals).
Of the more than 106,000 attorneys licensed to practice law in Texas, less than 150 are board certified in Criminal Appellate. Among those, many are prosecutors. In Tarrant County, only 16 attorneys hold this certification, and across the entire Dallas-Fort Worth area, there are just 35. (Statistics accurate as of 2025.)
